Grassroots Effort Presses for Meaningful Reform for all Workers
**View Video & Website at www.FixOurJobs.org ** WASHINGTON, DC— In reaction to the new CBS show, “Undercover Boss,” premiering last night after the Super Bowl, labor policy and advocacy group American Rights at Work launched a grassroots campaign and website called FixOurJobs.org. “Undercover Boss” follows CEOs walking a mile in their workers’ shoes to see firsthand the challenges they face, suggesting a few bosses are ready for a change of heart.
“It’s a fantasy that our problems can be fixed through TV shows,” says American Rights at Work Executive Director Kimberly Freeman Brown. “The reality is millions of America’s workers who are unemployed or mistreated need real change now. “
“America’s working people feel unheard and we’re here to turn up the volume on their demands for leaders in Washington,” says Brown. |
