Washington, D.C. – This Saturday, American Rights at Work is excited to join with activists and leaders from across the progressive movement for the One Nation march on Washington. As the country gears up for elections next month, the unprecedented attacks on working families have only grown more vicious, and the threat we face this November is a real one. So it’s time to showcase our unity, rally the grassroots, and get America on track to an economy that works for all.

That’s exactly what we plan to do this weekend—teaming up with labor and faith leaders, environmental and peace activists, and human and civil rights groups to put America back to work and pull America back together. Our unifying message is simple: Everyone in this country deserves a shot at the American Dream.

Together, we will advocate for a different way of doing business, because sky-high unemployment, stagnating wages, and record numbers of America’s workers living below the poverty line aren’t going to cut it anymore. Policymakers can no longer ignore America’s call for the creation of good, green, union jobs, a strengthened safety net for those most impacted by Wall Street’s recklessness, comprehensive immigration reform, and equality and justice for all—in our schools, the justice system, and in every workplace.
