Recent Rulings Assaulting Workers’ Rights Deserve Investigation
WASHINGTON, DC—This September, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued an unprecedented number of decisions undermining workers’ fundamental rights. The agency originally devised to protect workers’ rights has become the most anti-worker Labor Board in decades. Thankfully Congressional action is finally being taken to investigate these inexcusable decisions. To continue addressing our broken labor law system, our policymakers must turn their attention to adopting the Employee Free Choice Act. Passage of this legislation will put the teeth back into labor law and reverse much of the damage done by seven years of anti-worker rulings out of the NLRB.” In response to the NLRB’s onslaught of anti-worker decisions, American Rights at Work this week launched a blog, www.EyeontheNLRB.org, to raise attention to this little-known agency making critical decisions affecting workers’ lives and freedoms. |
