Tell Cooper Tire to End the Lockout
January 22, 2012

On November 28, 2011, Cooper Tire & Rubber locked out 1,050 workers in Findlay, Ohio. When Cooper Tire was losing money in 2008, these employees gave up $31 million in concessions to help their employer stay alive. Cooper has since rebounded, raking in $300 million in profits – and handing corporate executives millions in raises and bonuses. Workers simply want a fair deal that recognizes their sacrifice. Instead they have been left out in the cold.

Fight back against corporate greed and help Cooper Tire workers get back to work.

Pledge Not to Shop at Amazon This Holiday Season
September 22, 2011

In September, an investigative report revealed that Amazon.com's Breinigsville, PA, warehouse has been operating like a sweatshop – with employees working on their hands and knees at a frantic pace, enduring the pain because they're afraid of losing their jobs. We need to let Amazon know that we won't stand for shameful working conditions – not now, not ever. Amazon's workers deserve better. And as customers, we can demand better. You can make a difference for these workers.

Take the pledge to not shop at Amazon this holiday season.

Tell Hyatt: Stop opposing a bill that would keep your workers safe
August 03, 2011
A California bill would require hotels to provide housekeepers with cost-effective tools, like mops and fitted sheets, that are proven to reduce injuries on the job. But national hotel chain Hyatt has publically opposed the bill that would make a huge difference for the health and safety of their housekeepers.

Tell Hyatt to drop their opposition to this common-sense bill!

Tell IKEA: Give your workers a fair shot!
May 16, 2011

Workers at an IKEA subsidiary's factory in Danville, Virginia, are facing pay cuts, mandatory overtime, racial discrimination, and dangerous conditions on the job. The workers want a union to help fight back, but factory management has fired workers who are just talking about unions.

Tell IKEA CEO Mikael Ohlsson: No more unionbusting. No more intimidation. Give your U.S. workers a fair shot at forming a union.

The attacks on middle class jobs in Wisconsin and other states have galvanized Americans to stand up against shameful moves like this. Now these workers need our help.

Tell Philips' CEO: Keep the lights on in Sparta, Tennessee, and keep good jobs in America!

States Need Economic Solutions, Not Scapegoats
February 11, 2011

With the middle class already struggling, anti-worker governors and state legislators from coast to coast are feverishly working on bills that would decimate unions. They're targeting America's workers – because they think there won't be political repercussions.

It's up to us to make sure state legislators hear our message loud and clear – crippling unions makes things worse for the middle class, not better. And we won't stand idly by while anti-worker legislators destroy all the progress we've made.

Take a stand now for America's workers and add your name to the petition.
