Striking Writers Need Your Help
November 15, 2007

Support striking writers! Since November 5th, 12,000 writers have been on strike.  Writers are the creative minds that power the shows and movies we all love to watch.  Their work provides the foundation for the content produced by the entertainment industry and they should be compensated fairly for the work they do.

Hollywood studios won't sit down and seriously negotiate with the writers, who want to get paid when networks offer TV shows and movies for downloading on the Internet.  It is estimated that the studios will bring in $4.6 billion over the next three years through the Internet—and they don't want to give the writers a penny.

Tell the studio companies to come back to the bargaining table and resolve this strike. They should treat the writers with the respect they deserve, and we will stand in solidarity until the writers get a fair deal.
